Questions buyers ask
Can foreigners buy property in Malaysia?
Yes, with conditions. Every foreign purchase needs state authority approval, and minimum price thresholds and land restrictions apply. They differ from state to state, and some land, such as Malay Reserved Land, is not open to foreign buyers. Ask us about a specific property before you decide.
How do viewings work?
Viewings are by appointment, arranged by WhatsApp, Monday to Sunday. Send us the reference number, such as CW-019, and the days that suit you. Our office replies first, and Mr. Madhavan follows up to arrange the viewing.
Is the price negotiable?
Where a listing says Negotiable, the owner is open to offers. Every listing shows the asking price and the date it was last updated, because prices and availability can change.
Are you a registered agency?
Yes. Countrywide Properties is a firm of Registered Real Estate Agents, E(3) 0338, under the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEP). Our Principal, Mr. Madhavan Nambiar, is registered as E(1387). Both numbers appear on every listing, and you can check them with the Board.
What costs come on top of the price?
